Sally Joo Bailey, MD

Dr. Sally Joo Bailey attended Duke University for her undergraduate studies where she received a BS in Biology and a minor in Art History. She attended medical school at USF then went on to do her residency in Pediatrics at Georgetown in Washington, DC and remained close by at The Johns Hopkins for her training in Allergy & Immunology. She began her career as an Assistant Professor in NYC at the Weil-Cornell New York Presbyterian Hospital for 3 years before returning to the DC area to join the faculty at Georgetown University Medical Center in 2006. She also opened a solo private practice, Allergy Associates of Northern in Arlington Virginia where she provided care for the community before joining the Johns Hopkins as teaching faculty, Clinical Associate Professor.
Dr. Bailey has also been the Past President of the Greater Washington Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology Society of DC as well as the founder of the Capital Allergy Associates and co-founder of the Mid-Atlantic Allergy. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology; a fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology;the Western Society of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Dr. Bailey proudly joined Allergy and Asthma Medical Group in 2025.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Bailey is the mother of a daughter who is a college Pre-Vet student, enjoys playing tennis with her friends, fitness & health, gardening, cooking, music, hiking, attending concerts, travelling and focusing on food as medicine. An avid animal lover, she is also the mother of a rescue dog and kittens.
