Dorothy Yip, PA-C received her B.S. in Biopsychology at UC Davis. She became passionate in improving the physical and mental well being of patients through her roles as clinical research assistant and EMT trainee during her undergraduate years. As a result, she further pursued her education in health care and completed her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at Western University of Health Sciences in Southern California in 2014.

She spent the first seven years of her PA career in primary care setting. During her time as a primary care PA, Dorothy treasured the meaningful relationships she developed with her patients and appreciated the use of preventive medicine to improve her patients’ quality of life. In addition, she also worked as a rhinology PA for three years during which she oversaw and cared for many patients with complex nasal and sinus conditions including chronic sinusitis, severe nasal allergies, nasal polyps, and sinusitis with concomitant asthma.

Dorothy believes in working with her patients as a team in their pursuit of better health. Utilizing her extensive background in family medicine and rhinology, she aims to manage AAMG patients’ health in a comprehensive manner.

She has been a Bay Area local since she moved to the East Bay from Hong Kong in her teens. She is currently living in Walnut Creek with her husband and daughter. When she is not working, Dorothy enjoys hiking with her family, trying new recipes, and participating in animal rescues.

Dorothy is fluent in English and Cantonese and is conversational in Mandarin.
