Tara Mostofi, PA


Location: Berkeley & Walnut Creek

Tara completed her undergraduate training at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. She was employed as a Research Assistant for several years at the University of Colorado Health Science Center in Denver, Colorado specializing in basic science research in blood clotting disorders. Although the research fascinated her, she wanted more direct interaction with patients and returned to earn her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University, Glendale AZ campus in August of 2000. She practiced in surgical and family practice settings in Colorado and rural California before relocating to the Bay Area to be closer to family.

She joined Allergy and Asthma medical group in August of 2011. She focuses on acute management of asthma and allergy flares. She is a sub-investigator in the clinical research division of the office and also performs the bronchial challenges and full pulmonary function exams ordered by the allergists. Outside of the office, Tara enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, the dog, and back yard chickens. She has a brown thumb in the garden and loves biking, backpacking, and yoga.
