Matthew Lodewick, MD

Locations: Berkeley & San Ramon

Dr. Lodewick is a University of California graduate. At Berkeley, he studied Comparative Literature and Molecular and Cell Biology. He then went to join his family in Alabama and studied medicine at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Seattle was Dr. Lodewick’s next stop where he spent several years. He completed a pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of Seattle and the University of Washington. He remained with the University of Washington to finish a fellowship in both Adult and Pediatric Allergy/Immunology. After completing his fellowship, Dr. Lodewick continued in Seattle where he was Clinical Instructor of Allergy/Immunology at the Children’s Hospital of Seattle and worked in private practice with Northwest Asthma and Allergy.

However, the lure of working with his colleagues here at Allergy and Asthma Medical Group and returning to the Bay Area drew him back to the East Bay in 2004. Dr. Lodewick is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics; Allergy Association of Northern California; and fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. His special interests are asthma, vocal cord dysfunction, and food allergy.

When not in the office, you will find Dr. Lodewick enjoying his family, probably on a bike, on a trail, or with a book in hand.
