Heidi decided to keep her maiden name because it was just too perfect for her profession!
She completed her undergraduate training in Physiology and Neuroscience in 1999 at University of California, San Diego. While she was there, she worked several college jobs in different medical arenas, which confirmed her interest in health care. In 2002 she earned her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland.
Heidi worked in family practice for 16 years in Alameda and Berkeley. When she moved to the Tri-valley area she joined Allergy and Asthma Medical Group in 2018. There are different challenges in the allergy/immunology field that Heidi finds both interesting and fulfilling. She specializes in acute management of allergy and asthma flares, and also enjoys helping patients create long term control strategies through education and listening closely to patients’ individual needs. Her family practice background helps her see the “whole” picture for each patient.
Outside the office Heidi, her husband, and their 3 active daughters spend most of their time at kids’ activities, but Heidi also loves spending time camping, hiking, and gardening (with no help from the backyard chickens!)
